April Meeting:
“Mike Mentzer: His Life and Philosophy”
by John Drake
At our April meeting, GO member John Drake will present “Mike Mentzer: His Life and Philosophy.”
Three years ago, the bodybuilder, writer and philosopher Mike Mentzer died. His heroic life and dedication to applying rational thinking to his work have spawned a new training methodology called “High-Intensity Training.” Heavily influenced by Ayn Rand, Mentzer did to bodybuilding what Rand did to philosophy. In this talk, John Drake will examine Mentzer’s life and explore his training philosophy.
Join us on Saturday,
January 17, at the home of Joy & Jeff Kiviat. We will also have
plenty of snacks and discussion. Call Joy & Jeff at (618) 288-2330
for directions or more information.
