Meetings once a month

The Gateway Objectivists usually meet on the third Saturday of each month, alternating between the home of Lorie Bugby, the home of Jeff and Joy Kiviat and a restaurant.

The meetings are informal and open to the public. Typically, the agenda consists of one of the following:

  1. A live presentation by one of the members
  2. A video of a debate or speech of relevance to Objectivism.
  3. A roundtable discussion on a topic chosen in advance.
  4. Book and Journal readings
  5. Movie night featuring members' favorite flicks

Following the presentation, we enjoy refreshments and engage in wide-ranging discussions, not limited to the topic of the evening.

Libertarian Party candidate

 

The meeting, on Saturday, April 19, at 7 p.m., will be at Syberg's restuarant on Dorsett in Maryland Heights. See Syberg's website for directions. Email mail@gatewayobjectivists.net for more information.

This month, our discussion topic will be:

  • In view of the likelihood of Bobb Barr running on the Libertarian ticket for president, who should an Objectivist support? (assuming that Obama is the Democratic nominee)

We will meet at 7:00 for dinner in the small private room, and then discussion to follow.
